font-size: 16px; mso-line-height-alt: 19.2px;\"><br><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">The<span style=\"color:#000eff;\"><strong> third principle is \"ideate\"<\/strong><\/span>, which is the development of new concepts, ideas, and solutions. <strong>Neuroscience <\/strong>of change research on creativity shows that people are often <strong>limited by their existing knowledge and experience<\/strong>. <\/span><br><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">As a result, and because of the bias in the DEFINE principle, this step is limited. The force of accelerated change causes employees to feel more pressure to deliver results, and they may not know how to manage their feelings during these times. <\/span><br><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">This can lead again to an <strong>increase in cortisol<\/strong> levels and a sense of urgency, which in turn limits the number of new actions or perspectives to be evaluated  because it requires the ability to think differently and challenge existing assumptions. <\/span><br><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">On the other hand, <strong>low acetylcholine<\/strong> levels can also affect the definition phase by reducing <a href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseAgility.University\/Glossary\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"text-decoration: underline;\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>disciplined focus<\/strong><\/a>. As a result of this, the ability to <strong>learn <\/strong>and <strong>think differently<\/strong>, and to challenge existing assumptions might not be present.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"margin: 0; font-size: 16px; mso-line-height-alt: 19.2px;\"><br><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">The <strong><span style=\"color:#000eff;\">fourth principle is \"prototype\"<\/span><\/strong>, that is, to create a physical or digital representation of an idea. The neuroscience of change shows that people often tend to <strong>stick <\/strong>to their original ideas even when confronted with <strong>contradictory evidence<\/strong>. This may be due to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/pulse\/psychological-ownership-companies-exposed-accelerated-erich-r-b%C3%BChler\/\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"text-decoration: underline;\" rel=\"noopener\">psychological ownership<\/a><\/strong>, current organizational beliefs or processes, or power related formal or informal structures.<\/span><br>Iterating on solutions can be challenging as it demands the <strong>capacity <\/strong>to <strong>switch efforts <\/strong>during high-pressure situations and <strong>prioritize <\/strong>the creation of a prototype over<strong> more pressing company objectives<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"margin: 0; font-size: 16px; mso-line-height-alt: 19.2px;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"> <\/span><br><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">In addition, the pressures of accelerated change can make employees feel a <strong>sense of urgency<\/strong> to deliver results, which can make them unwilling to experiment with different solutions or iterate, and prefer to <strong>stick <\/strong>with <strong>familiar <\/strong>and more secure ways of working.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"margin: 0; font-size: 16px; mso-line-height-alt: 19.2px;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"> <\/span><br><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">The <span style=\"color:#000eff;\"><strong>fifth principle is \"test the solution\"<\/strong><\/span>. It involves evaluating the prototype with users to gather feedback and improve the solution. Studies in <strong>social psychology<\/strong> have found that individuals often have an<strong> excessive level of confidence<\/strong> in their ideas if they have been <strong>successful <\/strong>in the market previously.<\/span><br><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">It's important to remember that <strong>market behavior<\/strong> and <strong>demand <\/strong>in exponential markets may be very different from those in linear markets, where the company may have been successful before.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"margin: 0; font-size: 16px; mso-line-height-alt: 19.2px;\"><br><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">Obtaining and using feedback and iterating on solutions can be challenging in organizations with a strong culture or with employees who possess less adaptability or <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/xB4M3G4YiDk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Mental Agility<\/strong><\/a>, especially in a fast-paced environment. This is because the process requires the ability to <strong>confirm other points<\/strong> of view to take a different direction.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"margin: 0; font-size: 16px; mso-line-height-alt: 19.2px;\"><br><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">When you're collecting customer feedback, it's important to consider <strong>sensing the markets<\/strong> as well. The approach to sensing fast-growing markets varies and can affect the accuracy of the conclusions drawn from the feedback if the right techniques are not used. font-size: 16px; mso-line-height-alt: 14.399999999999999px;\"> <\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"margin: 0; font-size: 16px; mso-line-height-alt: 19.2px;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">The pressure of <strong>accelerated change and cortisol levels <\/strong>can also <strong>lower acetylcholine<\/strong>, which affects the ability to discipline focus, and take risks.<\/span><br><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">As you can see, <strong>Design Thinking <\/strong>can help companies develop innovative solutions and adapt to change. <\/span><\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"margin: 0;
